国際共同制作戯曲「雌鹿（原題：DOE2.0）」 日本公演のお知らせ

羊屋白玉（指輪ホテル）とトリスタ・バルドウィン（The Playwrights' Center of Minneapolis）は、2009年12月11日（金）と13日（日）の二日間、東京都の森下スタジオにて、国際共同制作戯曲「雌鹿（原題：DOE2.0）」の日本公演を行います。
この戯曲は日本人とアメリカ人の俳優によって、日本語と英語で演じられます。長年「女性からの視点と身体」に注目し舞台をつくりあげてきた羊屋と、米国の著名な劇作家集団であるプレイライツセンターに所属するバルドウィンの二人が共同で作品を作り上げることにより、それぞれの文化的背景による視座の違いや共通点などを浮かび上がらせ、現代人が抱える苦悩と欲望を描き、愛について言語についての思索を重ねた意欲的な作品として発展します。
「雌鹿（原題：DOE2.0）」の前身である「DOE 雌鹿」は、原作者であるバルドウィンによって米国で、そして羊屋の演出によって 2007年東京で行われた東京国際芸術祭でもドラマリーディングの形式で上演され、米Variety紙での激賞をは じめ、高い評価を得ています。今回上演される最新版「雌鹿」は、その経験と参加俳優や観客からフィードバックを元に作り上げる、まったく新しい「雌鹿」です。本公演でも、終了後に評論家・小説家として幅広く活動する小谷野敦氏と米国在住の日系アメリカ人作家Midori氏をゲストに迎えて観客と共にラウンドテーブルを開催し、ここで得られたフィードバックを元に、「雌鹿」はさらに形を変えていく予定です。
「雌鹿」はセゾン文化財団の長期的な支援の元、2012年の完成を目指してワークショップや公演を各地で行っています。本公演もその一環として行われ、2010年ミネアポリスとニューヨーク、2011年に東京で再度の公演を行った後、アメリカで2011年、日本で2012年に完成版が上演される予定です。

“Doe 2.0”

International Collaborative Work

Shirotama Hitsujiya (YUBIWA Hotel) and Trista Baldwin (The Playwight’s Center of Minneapolis) will present their creation, an international collaborative work, “Doe 2” on December 11th and 13th at the Morishita Studio in Tokyo.

The play will be performed by Japanese and American actors. Hitsujiya, has been creating stages focusing on the viewpoint of women and women’s bodies for a long time, and Baldwin belongs to the playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis, which is a well-known playwright’s group. They are collaboratively producing the work, and it will express “the difference and similarity of the point of view by the two creators. Hitsujiya and Baldwin who have different cultural backgrounds, exposes the agony and desires of people who live in a modern society. This presentation will be developed as a motivational work by piling up trials, persuading the love, and expressing the languages.

“Doe 2” has been supported by the Saison Foundation for three years, and it will be completed in 2010 after some workshops and showing in the several places.

This time the showing is part of the three-year-project, and after the showing in Minneapolis in 2010, and New York in 2011, the completed version will be performed in 2012.
